”I want to tell those rich men that when they are finally done endorsing Raila Odinga, they should be reminded that Ruto is the current owner of the mountain. Anyone who wishes to climb the mountain must pass through him,” the Mathira MP said.

His sentiments were supported by DP Ruto at a series of roadside rallies in Nyahururu, Naibor, and Nanyuki towns where he went to took drum up support for the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

”He is looking for Google Maps to guide him on the way to the region. While he was away, we built roads, railways and technical institutions. The region is a UDA stronghold. Is this the time that they have realised that Mt Kenya exists? Tell them that we have already decided and this is our zone,” DP Ruto said.

Ruto also criticized tycoons who hosted Odinga and the OKA leaders, under the auspices of the Mt Kenya Foundation and all but endorsed their respective 2022 presidential bids.

He said that whereas the rich have a right to meet and discuss how to protect their wealth, those in the low-income social stratum also have the right to hold meetings to discuss ways of empowering themselves.

The Deputy President who is the presumptive presidential candidate of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), dared his competitors to come up with a candidate to face him once and for all and stop dilly-dallying.
