Deputy President William Ruto has settled on Tharaka Nithi senator Kithure Kindiki as his running mate in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, a source from the Huster’s Center in Nairobi confides to this publication.
Despite being members of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, the pair will run under the UDA ticket on the ballot. ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Speaker Justin Muturi, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, his Mathira counterpart Rigathi Gachagua, and Governor Anne Waiguru were among the names to be considered by William Ruto when picking the most suitable candidate.

Both MPs Nyoro and Rigathi will defend their seats, just like Kirinyaga Governor who will be seeking a second term under UDA.
Senator Kithure Kindiki had earlier announced he will not be defending his Tharaka Nithi seat and had also dropped from the county’s governor’s race.
