Jubilee Vice Chair David Murathe says by March next year Deputy President William Ruto will be overwhelmed in the race to State House and begging Kenyans to support his presidential bid.

Reacting to Monday’s Infotrack poll which showed ODM leader Raila Odinga was the most preferred presidential candidate closely followed by DP Ruto, the Jubilee Vice-Chair said the DP was still a toddler in politics whose popularity only lasted for a month.

”Ruto’s popularity has lasted for less than a month. By March next year, he shall be begging Kenyans for support as he run left, right, center begging for coalitions. Ruto is a toddler in Politics! We’re teaching him a lesson to be humbe,” Murathe tweeted.

A poll by Infotrack, conducted between December 17 and 22 among 1600 respondents indicates the DP’s popularity has dropped by 12 percent compared to a similar poll last year is leading the Upper Eastern, Rift Valley, and Central Kenya regions.

On the other hand, the poll is a 20 percent gain for Raila Odinga who scored 13 percent in 2020  with Infotrack CEO Angela Ambitho attributing the increase to his official declaration this month on December 10th at Kasarani in Nairobi that he will be running for President in next year’s election.
