Arrest me now please: Sakaja begs the DCI

When everything fails, ask the cops to arrest you so you get a little sympathy as the hero being harassed by the state. In Sakaja’s case even that didn’t work.

The guy “surrendered” himself to the DCI office complete with media entourage hoping to be put in handcuffs at the door and the cops looked at him and told him to get lost because they didn’t need him. This is an outrage. The deep state is really now helping Raila and Azimio. How dare they refuse to arrest Sakaja. What is Ruto supposed to talk about now? This is not fair.

This was Sakaja’s first plea to be arrested and when it didn’t work he went to beg for it.

“Bwana DCI Kinoti, I’m at my Riverside office, karibu or let me know if you’d like me to come over. Your office will not install a project on the people of Nairobi. My qualifications are legit and the relevant institutions have refused to play along with your games. Let the people decide.”

The National Police Service has dismissed reports claiming that Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja has been arrested in the wake of reports that he is linked to a global crimes syndicate.

In a statement issued on Friday, the police service said Sakaja had presented himself to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations on Kiambu Road following reports of his impending arrest but was turned away.

“Contrary to circulating reports alleging that Hon Senator SakaJa has been arrested by police, the public is hereby informed such reporting is not true. He was cordially received by officers and turned away since he had not been summoned. He, therefore, left without any further police action,” said NPS.

Sakaja went to beg for his detention after a very elaborate plan had been made with his lawyers issuing statements about the terrible arrest.

His lawyer, Kamotho Adrian, said the Senator was arrested by four DCI officers from his office at Riverside where he had just concluded a campaign meeting with the Kamba community.

The counsel team claimed they were temporarily blocked from accessing the DCI headquarters where the Senator was being held.

“Yes, he has been arrested from Riverside and we are outside the gate after being denied access to accompany our client. They are taking the political adventure too far,” Kamotho told the Star.

Kamotho said the DCI officers never explained why they were arresting Sakaja.

“Wherever they are with our client (Sakaja), they cannot question him without the presence of his lawyers,” Kamotho added.

Now everything in UDA is back to its usual disarray.

The Kipchumbas had already launched a new onslaught on that terrible dictator President Uhuru Kenyatta for arresting Ruto’s super heroes. Try something else fellas. Nothing is working right now.
