165 Azimio MPs meet to push back against William Ruto, Kenya Kwanza

Azimio-One Kenya Alliance elected leaders this morning met President Uhuru Kenyatta, the Coalition’s chairperson at the ouskirts of Nairobi to plot the way forward for the outfit after the Supreme Court of Kenya upheld Kenya Kwanza leader William Ruto’s win on Monday.

The meeting, attended by 165 Members of Parliament from all Azimio-OKA constituent parties discussed a number of issues, among them how to begin a strong push back against William Ruto’s administration as well as scrutiny of the IEBC and the country’s Judiciary.

Uhuru Kenyatta is the Azimio Coalition chairperson.

Commenting on the attendance of the forum, Mwingi West MP-elect Charles Nguna expressed his shock at the number of MPs present and that it was like the whole country was in opposition.

The Azimio-One Kenya Parliamentary Group meeting is currently underway at the Maasai Lodge in Rongai, Kajiado county. Runningmate Martha Karua, and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka are in also attendance.
