You can rent a Kikuyu you cannot buy a Kikuyu, Governor Waiguru

Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has hailed Mt Kenya counties for unanimously passing the BBI Bill 2020 despite persistent disinformation from MPs allied to Deputy President William Ruto.

Speaking at the Kirinyaga County HQs after the County Assembly unanimously endorsed the bill, Waiguru told DP William Ruto and his allies in Mt Kenya, that they cannot buy the region’s voters’.

”I would like to sincerely thank the county of Kirinyaga for unanimously suporting this bill. As you all know, I have been at the forefront in supporting this bill for the beginning,” Governor Waiguru said.

Those allied to DP William Ruto in Kirinyaga county, like in other parts of the region, have been saying the BBI was a document with a secret agenda, of keeping President Uhuru in power and handing the presidency to Raila Odinga.

”One of the things that have been highlighted in the document is the addition of Mwea constituency. Also if you look at the ward-based funding, the money will be increased and nobody in Kirinyaga can oppose this.

”A lot of the noise that happened outside there sometimes we keep thinking we can be influenced by social media. The county has voted unanimously and other counties too. I said it before, and I say it again, you can only rent a Kikuyu, you cannot buy a Kikuyu.”
