Uhuru, Raila, Kalonzo meet Senators over Azimio unity

1 min read

Azimio principals Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka this morning met a section of the coalition’s Senators to discuss their unity amid media reports that there is division among the outfit’s principals.

Speaking on Monday at a press conference in parliament buildings, Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina revealed they had a meeting with the three principals who clarified there were no issues threatening the stability of their coalition despite false media reports circulating online.

Senator Ole Kina’s remarks were supported by Kilifi Senator Steward Mdzayo who noted the Monday morning meeting with the ODM, Jubilee, and Wiper party leaders resolved there is only one Azimio Coalition and they will be speaking in one voice.

“We have consulted among ourselves and our principals and we are united and no divisions at all and nothing should cause alarm. We met Raila, Uhuru and Kalonzo Musyoka this morning. There is only one voice who will speak on Azimio in the Senate, nobody else,” Senator Madzayo said at the presser, also attended by Minority Leader Fatuma Dullo, Deputy Minority Leader Enock Wambua, and Senate Deputy Minority Whip Ledama Ole Kina.

There have been reports of implosion in the outfit after the constituent parties disagreed on the Parliamentary Service Commission list where Senate Minority Whip Fatuma Dullo was replaced with Senate Okong’o Omogeni raising issues from Jubilee Party Members who threatened to leave the Coalition.
