Uhuru-Raila joint countrywide tours to kick off next week

President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga will kick-off joint tours starting next week in Nyanza. This revelation was made by the ODM leader while speaking in Gatanga, Muranga county at a thanksgiving ceremony for musicians hosted by SK Macharia at his Ndakaini home.

” The other day I said something huge is coming other people did not believe. Something big out of the handshake is coming, to unite every Kenyan. Next week we will be in Nyanza, then Western, then at the Coast and everywhere. President Uhuru and Raila hand in hand,” the ODM leader said.

Before being hosted by the Royal Media CEO today, the ODM leader last week met Mt Kenya leaders, including National Assembly Majority Leader Amos Kimunya in Mombasa as he plans to conquer Central Kenya ahead of 2022.

Dubbed Skiza Thanksgiving Luncheon, today’s event was aimed at highlighting the plight of musicians and gather support for Kenya’s identity as well as thank the government for waiving taxes on their skiza tune charges. The artists who are now exempt from the 25% excise duty claim that the move will significantly increase their earnings.

Mt Kenya leaders who accompanied Raila were Governor for Kiambu James Nyoro, Governor for Murang’a Mwangi wa Iria, Governor for Kirinyaga Anne Waiguru, Governor for Laikipia Muthomi Njuku , Hon. Peter Kenneth, Hon. Dennis Waweru, MPs Hon. Ruth Mwaniki, Maore Maoka, Kanini Kega, Ndirangu Waihenya and Nduati Ngugi.

Other leaders outside Mt Kenya were Governors Wyclffe Oparanya, James Ongwae and Anyang Nyongo, Senators James Orengo and Okongo Omogeni, MPs Gladys Wanga, Babu Owino, Opiyo Wandayi, George Aladwa, Anthony Oluoch, Junet Mohammed among others.
