Ruto Launches Gusii Affordable Housing Project

1 min read

President William Ruto launched the construction of a 244-unit Bomachoge Chache Affordable Housing Project in Ogembo, Kisii County.

The initiative aims to address housing needs and provide affordable options for residents in the area.

The project is part of a broader effort to improve local infrastructure and housing in the Gusii region, to create employment opportunities and address housing shortages.

The construction of affordable houses in agriculturally-rich regions like Gusii is expected to help curb land fragmentation, which poses a threat to the nation’s food security agenda.

The project has received support from various government officials and has been highlighted as a key development initiative in the region.
