Ruto fueling class war to beat Raila, Farah Maalim says

2 mins read

Former deputy speaker in the National Assembly and current Wiper Deputy leader Farah Maalim says Deputy President William Ruto is inciting class wars as a strategy to beat ODM leader Raila Odinga next year and it seems to be working for the UDA supremo.

Maalim noted that if elections were to be held and the contest was squarely between Raila and Ruto, the latter would be at State House by noon. However, the former legislator was quick to note that the best alternative to beat the DP was the One Kenya Alliance(OKA), an alliance he described as having the best chance of winning.

“In the likely event that the presidential contest will be between Raila and Ruto, Ruto will win hands down. Ruto wants to take advantage of an economic class and create a revolution and that is dangerous. OKA (One Kenya Alliance) is the only hope we have,” Maalim told a local media house on Monday.

On whether the DP was corrupt, Maalim said Ruto is a very generous person, something he has managed to use to his advantage in politics, while also describing the DP as a courageous who knows how to put his message together despite him being a deceitful leader.

“People say he is corrupt, but even if he is corrupt he is extremely generous person and that works well for him. He is also a courageous man and talks to the heart of the people. He knows how to put his message together. Deceitful as it may, but you cannot ignore it,” he stated.
