Azimio leader Raila Odinga says Kenyans will no longer recognize William Ruto and his regime and that the Opposition is not interested in a Handshake with Mr. Ruto.

Mr. Odinga spoke on Monday at the Kamukunji grounds in Nairobi following last week’s IEBC Whistleblower report which unearthed fresh details on how the 2022 elections were manipulated.

”According to the whistleblower data, the election wasn’t even close. We won with over 2 million votes. We don’t recognize William Ruto as the President of Kenya. We also don’t recognize any official appointed in his government,” Mr. Odinga said, noting the resistance to UDA regime kicks off immediately.

”We ask our people to say no to the UDA regime. This regime and its unfortunate and unfair policies must be resisted and the resistance starts today.”

The Azimio chief who jetted back into the country this morning from South Africa where he has been for a week proceeded to tell off President William Ruto and his deputy president Rigathi Gachagua over what he termed as “empty threats”.

”Naibu wake anamwambia boss wake wachia mimi Raila nitadeal nayeye. Kila mara anatisha ati yeye ni mtoto wa MauMau. Nataka kuambia yeye alikuwa hajazaliwa, yule ambaye alitetea MauMau ni Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.”

Odinga also defended former president Uhuru Kenyatta from claims by Ruto that he (Uhuru) tried to murder Wafula Chebukati over the election.

Party leaders Martha Karua (Narc-Kenya), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Eugene Wamalwa (DAP-K), George Wojackoyah (Roots), Jeremiah Kioni (Jubilee SG) and host of Azimio Coalition MPs and MCAs accompanied Mr. Odinga.

The coalition will hold a major rally on Sunday at the Jacaranda Grounds in Nairobi.
