Promise to lead Jubilee Party after Uhuru makes Matiangi rogue

Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi is adversely mentioned in the Bonchari and Juja by-elections, which saw a heavy deployment of the National Police paramilitary wing and the provincial administration to back Jubilee Party candidates. Behind the state intimidation, arm-twisting, and brutality supervised by Harambee House is a promise by ‘owners’ of Jubilee Party to hand over the outfit to Dr. Fred Matiangi once Uhuru Kenyatta retires.

Sources privy to the efforts seeking to elevate Matiang’i’s political profile say yesterday’s mini-polls was to be used to prop him up and have him emerge as the Kisii political kingpin. Also, the Bonchari seat was expected to go the Matungu way, where ODM party was rigged out in favor of ANC by agents of the state.

”Matiangi to take over as Jubilee Party. He has been told to first consolidate Kisii backyard. Last night’s results show it was a monumental failure. ODM learnt from Matungu and the gaps were filled in Bonchari,” a source confided to this writer.

One Kenya Alliance, dubbed a weakling by State House operatives, is expected to field a candidate in 2022 to force a run-off. Where, in second round they are expected to back CS Matiangi. The weaklings will drop before the actual race while others will be dropped by the count of the ballot, and their support transferred to the finalist candidate.
