Ndindi Nyoro explains unique model behind Kiharu’s 92 new school projects
Ndindi Nyoro is going to make many opposition leaders very jealous and even mad with him. The Gachaguas, Kalonzos and Sifunas are obsessed with talk, talk and talk more everyday issuing endless press statements and empty threats and confining themselves to their twitter loudspeakers.
Ndindi Nyoro comes up and he is putting up plans to undertake major construction work in 92 schools in his Kiharu constituency which has proven to have the best managed NG-CDF money.
Ndindi Nyoro’s brilliance and honesty in using NG-CDF for Kiharu constituency development did not start now just because he is running for the big office. He has been doing his job as Kiharu MP since he was elected while with the other MPs the only place Kenya can find the billions of NG-CDF money allocated to them is in their bank accounts.
Interestingly enough the way Kenyan MPs rob CDF money is to come up with fake proposals to build a whole bunch of schools. Once the CDF money is allocated to them the MPs have millions of bogus contractors who they give the money to on condition that the contractor will keep 10% of the money and give 90% of money for that project to the MP and that is the last time anybody will hear about those projects again.
Here is what Ndindi Nyoro and former Kibra MP Imran Okoth have done with NG-CDF budget money. The rest of the MPs have done nothing other than stealing the money and you will never hear the opposition claiming they want to fight and end corruption ever talk about that because those thieving MPs are the people who are in the Kenya opposition.
This is the reality on the ground.

These are some of the schools Imran Okoth built in Kibra with many others under construction.
Should Imran Okoth the best MP in the country go up to the big office? – The Real Deal
The rest of the Kenya MPs including the loud mouths like Caroli Omondi who have run to join Linda Mwanainchi cannot even show a little village hut or even grass thatched toilet they have built in any school for their constituents with CDF money.
They know themselves and Kenyans know them and they are going home in 2027 whichever opposition party they jump to now to save their skins. It is done for them and August 10, 2027 will be their burial day.
In the news today, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has announced plans to undertake 92 development projects in schools across his constituency during the upcoming holiday, explaining how his preferred construction model is designed to ensure public funds go directly into institutions.
The projects will involve the construction of new schools, laboratories, classrooms and halls, as well as the upgrading of existing learning infrastructure.
However, the MP highlighted the labour-based construction model used in Kiharu, which he said eliminates the need for contractors to make profits from projects funded through the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF).
“We undertake these projects through the Labour based model where every shilling is spent at the institution,” Nyoro stated.
He added that the approach also avoids what he described as double VAT payments, ensuring that the benefits of the allocated funds are enjoyed by the institutions receiving the projects.
According to the lawmaker, the model allows communities to participate directly in development instead of relying on conventional contracting arrangements.
How Ndindi Nyoro’s labour-based model works
Using a hypothetical Ksh1 million classroom project, Nyoro claimed that Ksh160,000 would go towards VAT while a contractor could take approximately Ksh300,000 in profit.
He argued that bypassing contractors could allow the same allocation to deliver more infrastructure, with residents providing labour and materials.
The model has also involved training local young people in skills such as tile installation and professional painting, enabling them to participate in school improvement projects.
The latest rollout of 92 projects adds to that conversation, particularly as questions about the management and distribution of NG-CDF resources continue to feature in national politics.
Nyoro concluded his Friday statement by commending the stakeholders involved in the projects, reiterating his commitment to development in Kiharu.
“We are African and Africa is our Business,” he stated.
What could be really good for the country is for President William Ruto needs to look at Ndindi Nyoro’s school building projects and adopt some of it to enhance his housing plans.
Kenyans know and appreciate that President Ruto’s affordable housing work up to this time has been a tremendous success and Kenyans are living in those homes today and more are being built every day.
Presidential aspirants like Edwin Sifuna who want to abolish affordable housing projects in the country because of some bizarre issue with people taking their chickens to the houses are knocking their heads on a dead wall because Kenyans will not tolerate such people as their national leaders.
Kenyans love the affordable housing project and the work going on but I would urge president Ruto to integrate Ndindi Nyoro labour based building initiatives for rural Kenya housing plans.
In rural Kenya people live in terrible huts and all sorts falling apart kind of buildings and they desperately need help to have descent places to live. The best way President Ruto can do this as part of his entire housing plans is to have a project where Kenyans in their rural homes can be helped to access building materials and other construction necessities so they can build their own homes.
I know that because I have done that kind of work with my mother when I first got a job and now I am working with my sisters building houses in our property in Bondo Town because they told me if we don’t do that the Bondo Municipality can take the entire property and build their own things there. We don’t have money for construction companies. Then the young ones down there make hundreds of bricks a week and we are building houses.
President William Ruto should set up funding for rural housing programs. The president will need to work with the MPs and MCAs to set up a system where rural communities can have places where building materials like bricks are made at the community level that people can take to build their homes.
This will also mean a lot of work for those young Kenyans in rural communities. God knows they can build bricks if they have the sand and cement with the necessary equipment.
Why can’t President Ruto set up that infrastructure and programs across the country as another level of making sure that all Kenyans can live in descent homes?
Working with MPs and MCAs the government can set up specific places where government provides building materials like bricks and roof covers so people in the community and their families. Once the construction sites are set up the government then provides an administration structure to ensure that money allocated for building materials is not stolen the way MPs grab CDF money.
This is a way to build houses for rural Kenyans who live in caves pretty much and nothing is being done about that and now is the time to get this sorted out.

The reality is that if building materials and other resources are provided to the Kenyans in the rural communities where majority of Kenyan live, they will build good descent homes by themselves and they do not need expensive construction companies to do that for them.
In this model the government would create gazillion jobs for young Kenyans and transform rural Kenya into first class living conditions.
If President Ruto goes on with his focus or real development for Kenyans that they can see and live with he has zero opposition because those opposition leaders including their new shining guy Edwin Sifuna just make press statements every day to attack Ruto and talk all sorts of things but have never come up with a single plan to make life better for Kenyans.
If the opposition doesn’t wake up and come to Kenyans with real plans they have to make people’s lives better then they have one path to the presidency and it looks kind of funny. Good luck with that my friends.
