Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi has come out to absolve ODM leader Raila Odinga of any blame over the current woes facing the Jubilee Party. This comes at a time when a section of leaders in the ruling outfit supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta is calling for the voluntary resignation of Secretary-General Raphael Tuju and the Vice-Chair David Murathe or they get ejected from office.

There are also those who argue the recent plan by Jubilee to form a coalition with Raila Odinga’s ODM is responsible for its loss in Kiambaa.

Speaking yesterday in his constituency, MP Sudi, a harsh critic of Mr. Odinga told Jubilee Party members to stop blaming Raila Odinga or the party’s officials for their troubles and instead train their guns on President Uhuru Kenyatta who heads the outfit, for terribly failing to offer leadership when it was needed the most.

”Our problem in Jubilee has not been Raila Odinga. Stop blaming Raphael Tuju and David Murathe for what happened in Kiambaa. The party leader, President Uhuru Kenyatta is responsible for all these messes you see today,” the MP said.

Meanwhile, the ruling party has vowed to move to court to challenge the outcome of the just-concluded Kiambaa by-election. On Tuesday, the National Management Committee today claimed the result was manipulated in favour of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate John Njuguna who won the seat by garnering 21,773 against Jubilee’ Kariri Njama who had 21,263 votes.

”We are not satisfied with IEBC’s results; we have concrete evidence to show that manipulation was done by certain individuals. The numbers that came out of the polling centres were not the same as those transmitted to the tallying centres. It is not yet over,” David Murathe said on Tuesday after the NMC meeting.
