Rigathi Gachagua won the Ol Kalou by-election by a landslide and nobody can deny that. The real nightmare going forward for the opposition in Kenya is that Gachagua is now the confirmed king they have to obey and follow his orders from Wamunyooro. That is fantastic for them, isn’t it?
The opposition has been hustling with a bunch of methods to determine who their candidate will be in 2027 to go face William Ruto for the presidency. Ol Kalou will be the only method available to them to choose their candidate.
Predictably, Gachagua banned all opposition leaders from stepping into Ol Kalou during the campaigns, and his agenda was that Ol Kalou was all about him and his big boy who is now an opposition hero.

Senator John Methu helped Gachagua win that by-election and the simple and clear fact is that one of either Gachagua or Methu has to be in the opposition presidential ticket for 2027. At least they cannot both run as the presidential and DP candidates in 2027.
Right now, the choice for the United Opposition on who to go against William Ruto is Rigathi Gachagua because at least he has achieved something on the ground, unlike other opposition leaders whose politics are in their X Accounts and church visits where they disrupt prayers for ordinary folks who go to church to have a resting day.
It is pretty obvious that the Supreme Court and the IEBC will let Gachagua know that, as an impeached DP, he cannot hold any public office in Kenya and cannot even be a village chief.
When that happens, Gachagua is going to make it very clear to whoever the opposition gambles on, like Kalonzo Musyoka, that John Methu is their DP candidate and they do not have a choice or even a word to say about that, and that will be the end of story for them, facing a massive defeat in 2027 presidential elections. This is good news for the country, and Kenyans will rejoice about that and achieve it at the ballot box in 2027.
Ol Kalou has cancelled any debates within the opposition on who should be their candidate to face William Ruto in 2027. Rigathi Gachagua now has the final say on the opposition ticket against William Ruto. Good luck with that for them and for the country.
What happens to these poor opposition alleged leaders is now purely in the hands of Rigathi Gachagua and this could be good for the country.
They can go home with Gachagua after the 2027 elections, where Kenyans will choose which direction they want to take their country, and that is all up to them.

And this guy is also going for the presidency in 2027. Great fun, isn’t it?
Please don’t laugh at this grand plan by the opposition parties in Kenya. It is intended to go nowhere, and that is fine for them, looking into the 2032 elections.
