Narck-Kenya leader Martha Karua has revealed she is on her way out of the party’s leadership, a position she has held for the last 11 years, from 2010. The former minister made this revelation in a Friday Twitter spat with Francis Atwoli who was celebrating being elected unopposed as COTU Secretary-General for 20 years in a row.

”I want to THANK ALL KENYAN WORKERS for RE-ELECTING me UNOPPOSED, through their registered Trade Union Representatives, as the Secretary General of @COTU_K. I promise to service you with all my mighty and strength and not betray the trust you have bestowed in me,” Atwoli wrote, triggering a response from the Narck Kenya leader.

Karua’s reply to Mr. Atwoli’s tweet provoked the COTU Boss, who reminded Karua she had no moral authority to remind him of term limits in COTU, while she had been at the Narck-Kenya Party helm for more than ten years.

However, Karua said she was on her way out of the party’s leadership after leading it for eleven years.

”How long have you been the party leader of Narc-Kenya? I think members of Nark-K have trusted you with that mandate for more than ten years considering your ability to deliver,” Atwoli fired back.

Martha Karua has been said to be part of the talks between Raila Odinga and William Ruto, with some suggesting her name is proposed to Deputise Raila in 2022. With Ruto as Prime Minister.
