Kenya to Host the African Regional Office for the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO)

Kenya will host the African regional office of the International Civil Aviation Organisation, President William Ruto revealed on Monday after meeting the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) President, Mr. Salvatore Sciachhi at State House in Nairobi.

International Civil Aviation Organization is a specialized agency of the United Nations located in Montreal, Canada, that coordinates the principles and techniques of international air navigation, and fosters the planning and development of international air transport to ensure safe and orderly growth.

”The economic ambitions of Africa depend on a robust aviation sector to boost trade especially as we implement the Africa Continental Free Trade Area,” the Head of State said in a statement.

Also present at the meeting was CAO Secretary General Juan Carlos Salazar, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority Chairman Brown Ondego, and Director-General Emile Arao.
