Speaking in Laikipia over the weekend, DP Ruto dismissed the Mt Kenya Foundation meetings with ODM leader Raila Odinga and OKA principals, saying the real custodian of the vote was the people.

DP Ruto posed.

Wambugu, a stauch ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta took an issue with the deputy president’s politics in Mt Kenya, saying Ruto was trying hard to incite poor Kikuyus, while at the same time labelling those not supporting him as Mungiki.

”William Ruto hates rich Kikuyus because he can’t manipulate them with wheelbarrows or buy their loyalty with handouts. But he forgets that even the poor ones today will be rich tomorrow,” the MP wrote, adding:

”So William Ruto tries to incite the poor (mainly young) Kikuyus, against the rich (mainly old) Kikuyus. Then when the young guys see through this BS, he wants to call them ‘Mungiki!’”
