There is need for a change of guard at Gor Mahia FC not because the current officials are incompetent and mediocre – which they are – but because there’s need for change.
With the government now serious about developing sports infrastructure, Gor Mahia FC as the anchor of Kenya’s Premier League must position itself to move Kenya’s football to the ‘next level’.
The league has to improve which means Gor Mahia has to improve.
Gor Mahia players should be among the highest paid professionals in Kenya.
The new management must modernize all aspects of Gor Mahia, including the drums and sticks used by the Gor Choir, which by now should have their own bus!
If the status quo remains, Chairman Rachier should know the quo has lost its status.
We deserve a modern club.
