Azimio-One Kenya running mate Martha Karua is asking UDA leader William Ruto to stop labeling himself as Kenya’s President-Elect and that he can be sure there will be a legal challenge on their supposed win.

Speaking on Friday in Kirinyaga, Ms. Karua said DP William Ruto is not above the Kenyan constitution and that the law of the land does not allow him to start acting as the country’s Head of State before being sworn in.

”The deputy president of the outgoing regime aambiwe atulie. Respect the laws of the land. You are under the laws of Kenya even as Deputy President. You can be sure there is going to be a legal challenge. Wait for the outcome when our legal challenge gets to the court,” the Azimio-One Kenya running mate said.

”Under our constitution, and I want Kenyans to know when the presidential election is over, even if you are said to have won, even if you are a purported winner you cannot be sworn in before the legal challenge is over. Until you are clear of any legal challenge, you cannot throw your weight around. Which weight? What if the results are nullified?” Ms. Karua posed.

The Narc-Kenya leader also said the results announced by Wafula Chebukati were his personal numbers which were not authenticated by the electoral commission and that there was no proper tallying done on the presidential votes.
