Veronica Maina Removed, Cleophas Malala Takes Over As UDA Secretary General

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) on Monday, February 27 announced leadership changes that saw former Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala appointed as the Secretary-General replacing nominated Senator Veronica Maina.

Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire has ben picked as the Chairperson of the party, replacing Public Service Commission-bound member Johnston Muthama.

Malala, who unsuccessfully ran for the Kakamega Governor’s seat using the Kenya Kwanza ticket was shortlisted for and scheduled for an interview with the Public Service Commission for the position of Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS).
