President Uhuru Kenyatta and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi signed a secret consent document at State House in Nairobi where, together with Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula, and Gideon Moi they agreed to come up with one presidential candidate for the president’s backing in August.
Among those present at the meeting, Savula says were him, Defense CS Eugene Wamalwa, and the former NASA principals.
”Uhuru called the first meeting with all the big five; Musalia, Raila, Kalonzo, Wetangula and Gideon Moi. Musalia has appended his signature to a document which only president Uhuru Kenyatta has its original copy. They had agreed to field a single presidential candidate, ODM inclusive.. Defense CS Eugene Wamalwa and I later held a meeting with Raila in Karen and agreed that Musalia was going to be Raila’s running mate,” Savula told a local radio station during an interview.

”We were to assign Tinga (Raila) to negotiate with Uhuru to give the central community 50% of the government positions because the central community is demanding the second slot. And we agreed with Tinga, Eugene Wamalwa and me,” the former ANC deputy leader, also Lugari legislator added.
On Tuesday, President Uhuru Kenyatta met a section of Western Kenya leaders from the counties of Bungoma, Kakamega, Vihiga, Busia, and Tranzoia to discuss the region’s political and development issues.
