Azimio flagbearer Raila Odinga met former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka in Mwingi this morning upon invitation by the Wiper leader, where the two discussed their unity in Azimio and how to co-exist in the broad coalition.

The meeting follows a week of back and forth between the Wiper leader and smaller Azimio parties which have insisted to be recognized, away from the earlier three-legged pillar proposal by Kalonzo Musyoka.

Within the week, Mr. Musyoka also insisted he has to be picked as a running mate, a stand some members within the coalition feel is polarizing and locking out other members of the coalition who may be interested in the post.

Today’s meeting is expected to help stem a fall-out and iron out sticking issues that have threatened to slow down the coalition’s momentum. Mr. Odinga was accompanied by Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu.
