That he is actively involved in his succession matrix is not in question. President Uhuru Kenyatta is exposing his political claws, less than two years from his exit. The Head of State’s political machinery is working on an overdrive, confusing, confounding and upsetting rivals, and alies.

The latest to feel the force of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s political moves is Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, who until last week, seemed so comfortable with Uhuru’s embrace.

However, latest reports indicate President Uhuru listens more to Charity Ngilu and always insists she attends BBI meetings and sit among the men, not only as a party leader but also as a senior woman leader in the country.

In one of the BBI meetings at State House, President Uhuru told Mr. Musyoka he did not want to appear as not catering for the interests of women, thus the presence of Ngilu in all the meetings.

Charity Ngilu, who is also the Kitui Governor is one among the three leaders from the Ukambani region working close with Raila Odinga and it is believed she will be in Odinga’s camp towards 2022. Others are Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana, and his Machakos counterpart Alfred Mutua.
