Already trouble is brewing inside the new Kenya Kwanza government on day one, with reports of a number of Mt Kenya allies of President William Ruto pouting over an ‘outsider’ treatment at State House this evening.
A source confides to this publication, that apart from the military, the inauguration at Kasarani and the State House dinner this evening has been under a close supervision and coordination of two senators from the Rift Valley and the Nairobi Governor – who were President Ruto’s ‘eyes’.
”Rift Valley leaders and MPs are running the show. Many of those who felt sidelined are from Mt Kenya,” the source confided to this publication.
Already, some Kikuyu leaders inside the Kenya Kwanza Alliance are expressing their displeasure, but in whispers, on how this evening’s State House party of the new administration was handled and will raise a complaint in their next meeting.
Former Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and a key ally of William Ruto expressed his anger on Facebook after the State House ceremony, followed by a post saying he was deactivating his page after achieving the objective of making William Ruto Kenya’s President.
”My objective has been achieved. My good friend William Ruto is the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya. This account will be permanently deleted on Wednesday 14th September 2022 at 18:00 hours. It was great interaction guys. Adios!” the Chama Cha Kazi leader wrote.
