Odinga heads to Homabay as President Uhuru meets Jubilee MPs in Nairobi

ODM leader Raila Odinga takes the BBI gospel to Homabay County following a successful meeting yesterday, with all elected leaders from the 4 counties of Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay and Migori in Kisumu’s Ciala Resort.

Speaking to the delegation on Monday, Raila assured residents of Lower Nyanza region that his union with President Uhuru was grounded on the promise of ensuring a better country, which is more united.

“Nobody is in this country by invitation by another person. Our people are rightly in this country, part of society and they must work with the other 43 tribes in the country,” Raila said in Kisumu.

Governors Anyang’ Nyong’o (Kisumu), Cyprian Awiti (Homa Bay), Cornel Rasanga (Siaya) and Okoth Obado (Migori) as well as MPs from the region, led by Siaya Senator James Orengo.

On the other hand, President Uhuru Kenyatta will hold a Jubilee PG this morning at the KICC to put the Jubilee House in order following the expulsion of six nominated legislators from the ruling party. Nominated senators Isaac Mwaura, Millicent Omanga, Victor Prengei, Falhada Dekow Iman, Naomi Jillo Waqo, and Mary Seneta Yiane were expelled by the National Management Committee.
