Njuri Ncheke to install Speaker Muturi as Mt Kenya spokesperson in Meru

Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi will be installed as the Mt Kenya spokesperson today, Saturday 6th, as the race to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta as the Mt Kenya political kingpin gathers momentum.

Speaker Muturi’s installation will be held in Nchjiri, Meru County at a Njuri Ncheke shrine. The ceremony will bring together elders from Embu, Kikuyu, and Meru.

Apart from Speaker Muturi, others who are looking to succeed Uhuru as Mt Kenya’s political kingpin are former presidential aspirant Peter Kenneth, Governor Mwangi Wa Iria (Muranga), Agriculture CS Peter Munya, former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo, and Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru.

Others are Mwangi Kiunjuri who heads The Service Party and Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria with People’s Empowerment Party (PEP).
