Briko Homes Dedicates 5% of Profits to New Mental Health Facility in Ruiru

Mental health challenges are affecting more Kenyan families than ever before. From depression to suicide, drug abuse to bipolar disorder, these issues are claiming lives and causing deep pain. The effects go beyond individuals. Families are forced to shift their focus from work to caregiving. Communities suffer. The economy feels the strain.

Now, there’s a new place offering help.

Briko Homes Limited has officially launched the Snapback Recovery Clinic, a mental health facility located in Muguga, Ruiru. The clinic is designed to offer affordable, professional care for people struggling with mental illness. It aims to give patients a real chance to recover—and to “snap back” to their lives.

The clinic is supported directly by Briko Homes. The company has committed to donating 5% of its profits to keep the clinic running and to subsidize treatment costs for patients. This model helps reduce financial barriers and allows more people to access the help they need. The more people invest in Briko Homes, the more support flows into the clinic.

Speaking at the launch, Briko Homes CEO Paul Waiganjo said the clinic is a personal mission. He has seen the damage mental illness has done to families across Kenya and wanted to be part of the solution. He described Snapback Recovery Clinic as a long-term project built to serve the people. He called it the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) effort, rooted in real change and real care.

Waiganjo acknowledged the rising cases of suicide and untreated mental illness in the country. He said that while the government has tried to offer support, more hands are needed. Through Snapback, Briko Homes wants to walk alongside the public sector in reducing the mental health crisis.

The clinic already has a team of doctors, counselors, and healthcare workers. Their goal is to support every patient who walks through the door with compassion, dignity, and a real plan for recovery. Waiganjo praised their commitment and credited them with helping give the clinic its name—because every patient deserves the chance to snap back.

He also thanked Briko Homes customers. Their trust and investments have directly funded the clinic’s launch and ongoing operations. Waiganjo urged Kenyans at home and abroad to keep supporting Briko Homes, saying every purchase is more than a real estate deal—it’s a contribution to saving lives.

The clinic is now open and welcoming patients. Its presence in Ruiru means more people in Kenya can get treatment, support, and the chance to recover. You don’t need to be rich to get help. You don’t need to suffer alone.

Snapback Recovery Clinic is a step toward a future where mental health care is available, affordable, and within reach—for everyone.
