Moses Kuria opts out of Kiambu governor’s race, to defend Gatundu seat

Chama Cha Kazi leader Moses Kuria will not be going for the Kiambu gubernatorial position after being pressed by Deputy President William Ruto to op-out of the race in favor of his United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party candidate.

According to reports, the Gatundu South legislator was prevailed upon to drop his bid following poor ratings in the county which have put him at the bottom.

A meeting by Kiambu gubernatorial aspirants last evening at DP William Ruto’s Karen residence also failed to agree on letting the MP run as the Kenya Kwanza senator in the county.
