Kiambu Senator Karungo Thangwa says he will join the Members of the County Assembly (MCA) of Kiambu’s brewing rebellion against Governor Kimani Wamatangi’s leadership style if he does not urgently resolve the issues being raised by Kiambu residents.
”If you don’t Act, I will soon join the MCAs in protesting against your leadership,” the Kiambu senator said on Tuesday.
Yesterday, Kiambu MCAs from the majority and minority sides of the House, camped outside his office Monday morning, seeking his audience over what they say are major issues touching on the welfare and well-being of the residents of the county.
This was the second time in under five months, that Kiambu Governor Kimani Wa Matangi is facing another revolt from MCAs in Kiambu County over what they say is his oppressive leadership style.
The governor is accused of sidelining the MCAs in his plans to disburse bursaries by forming bursary committees at the ward level without their knowledge or involvement.
