President Uhuru Kenyatta has appointed KEMSA Chair Kembu Getura to head the Communication Authority for the next three years, starting 18th April.
This is despite the government agency he heads (KEMSA), fighting to gain the confidence of Kenyans, after a multi-billion scandal involving the loss of Covid-19 funds meant to help the country combat the pandemic.
In a Gazette Notice No. 2215, the Head of State also directed the former Senator to Chair the board of the state parastatal.
Last week, the Public Investment Committee (PIC) cornered Eunice Cherono, Director, Leon interior decor and design, one of the beneficiaries of the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) scandal.
