ODM boss Raila Odinga has invited international guests and prominent local leaders to grace his next month’s event in Nairobi where he is expected to formally announce his 2022 presidential bid at a mega rally in the city.
On December 9th, the former prime minister is expected to first hold his Azimio la Umoja convention at the Bomas of Kenya with delegates from across the republic before holding the rally.

Reports also indicate on the eve of his announcement, the ODM supremo will be hosted by Nairobi county delegates at Kasarani gymnasium as part of the plans to finally crown him as the party’s 2022 flagbearer.
”As the Nairobi branch, we will assemble at least 20 delegates from each of the 17 constituencies for the all-important meeting on December 8 setting the tempo for the Azimio la Umoja meeting the following day,” Nairobi county ODM chair George Aladwa said.
According to ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, the event in the capital will be a historic one and Kenyans should expect Mr. Odinga’s international friends who have walked with him throughout the journey to be present on the big day.
”The event will be graced by international leaders who are close to Raila and who have walked with him all throughout; we expect international guests and local political leaders to attend,” SG Sifuna said.
