Huge boost for Raila as Kabogo joins camp

Former Kiambu county boss William Kabogo is the latest politician from Mt Kenya to join Raila Odinga’s camp as the ODM leader continues to scale Mt Kenya in his attempt to consolidate the president’s turf ahead of the 2022 polls.

On Thursday evening, Kabogo, a close ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta and also the party leader for Tujibebe wakenya partywas among leaders from Kiambu who were part of the former prime minister’s entourage while in the county.

“I would like to congratulate Raila Odinga for finding time to visit Kiambu. Don’t be misled by brokers. Welcome to the ground and listen to the people’s voices,” the former Kiambu governor said in Ruiru.

Other leaders who accompanied Raila Odinga were Kiambu Governor James Nyoro, MP Gatundu North Wanjiku Kibe, Maina Kamanda (nominated), Dennis Waweru (former Dagoretti South MP), Kanini Kega (Kieni MP), Rachael Shebesh (former Nairobi Woman Rep) and Nyeri Deputy Governor Caroline Karugu.
