How Kalonzo Musyoka kicked Dr. Mutua out of Azimio

Maendeleo Chap Chap has exited the Azimio-One Kenya Coalition and will now be backing Deputy President William Ruto for the top seat by becoming part of the Kenya Kwanza.

In a statement on Monday, Dr. Alfred Mutua, the MCC leader disclosed he had signed an agreement with Kenya Kwanza on Sunday night while accusing unnamed individuals of trying to manage their party within Azimio. 

”Deputy President William Ruto is a good man and he will change this country. Last night we signed an agreement with Kenya Kwanza and here is a copy. Unlike Azimio, here is a document we signed and we know its content. They played us and sneaked a document on zoning. They have been doing nothing but managing us,” Dr. Mutua said at a press conference in Nairobi.

After agreeing to back Raila Odinga for the top seat two months ago, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka set out on a journey to clip the wings of any opposition in Ukambani – especially against the three governors of Kitui, Machakos and Makueni.

Despite insisting on zoning in his Ukambani base and only wants Wiper candidates to run, the former VP is against the same move in other party bases and insists on having an equal stake. As the case with Mombasa, an ODM bedrock but Wiper insists on having impeached Nairobi governor Mike Sonko running as governor.
