Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho will be in Western Kenya this weekend to drum up support for the orange party where he is one of the deputy leaders.
A source from the Mombasa county government says the second term county chief, together with Governor Oparanya will not only play a critical role in managing ODM campaigns across the country but will also be among top Raila luminaries in the new 2022 alliance.

The Western Kenya tour by Joho is coming just days after dropping his presidential bid in favor of Raila at the Azimio la Umoja convention, Coast chapter, held in Mombasa.
”Since I began politics, Mr. Odinga has always been my leader because I believe if we want to be in State House, it will be through him. He has to clear the way for us to be in State House,” Joho said on September 19th.
Together with Wycliffe Oparanya, Hassan Joho is among 17 governors expected to hit the campaign trail for Odinga once the 2022 whistle is blown.
Others are, Sospeter Ojaamong (Busia), Wilber Ottichilo (Vihiga), James Nyoro (Kiambu), Francis Kimemia( Nyandarua), Nderitu Mureithi(Laikipia) and Wycliffe Wangamati (Bungoma), Cyprian Awiti (Homa Bay), Cornel Rasanga (Siaya), Anyang’ Nyong’o (Kisumu) and James Ongwae (Kisii).

Also backing him are Godhana Dhadho (Tana River), Fahim Twaha (Lamu), Alex Tolgos (Elgeyo Marakwet), Charity Ngilu (Kitui), Kiraitu Murungi (Meru), Alfred Mutua (Machakos), and Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni).
