Baringo Senator Gideon Moi is at crossroads following One Kenya Alliance’s (OKA) latest resolution to field a presidential candidate in August.
KANU party, one of the key members of OKA is still in a coalition agreement with Jubilee Party a pact the two parties entered in 2020. Jubilee has already endorsed Azimio Coalition and its Presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
According to the political parties act, a political party cannot be a member of two coalitions in one election something that has put KANU, whose leader has close ties with President Uhuru, in a tight spot.

A draft coalition agreement that is yet to be signed by the OKA principals comprising Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka, KANU’s Gideon Moi, NARC-Kenya’s Martha Karua, and United Democratic Party’s Cyrus Jirongo shows OKA will also field a single candidate for each parliamentary, Gubernatorial, and county assembly seats across the country in the forthcoming polls.
