Gachagua rejects proposal to vacate Harambee Annex Building for Mudavadi

Deputy President Rigathi Gachgaua has rejected President William Ruto’s proposal to have him occupy two floors at the Harambee House, which also houses the Presidency, and vacate the Harambee Annex Building, the official Deputy President’s office from 2013, for Musalia Mudavadi.

The ANC leader is expected to be the Kenya Kwanza administration Chief Minister.

Multiple sources inside the government confide to this publication DP Gachgaua and Mt Kenya leaders do not feel comfortable sharing the Harambee House building with President Ruto and are shocked by the decision to have Mudavadi occupy the Deputy President’s office. .

Mr. Mudavadi is expected to take up the whole Harambee Annex building from where he will oversee all the 22 Cabinet ministers in his new role of Prime Cabinet Secretary.
