Gachagua Outlines Ruthless Strategy to Crash, Neutralize Uhuru in Mt Kenya

A closed-door political meeting at Wamunyoro has allegedly revealed an ambitious strategy that could reshape the future of Mt Kenya politics and potentially alter the balance of power ahead of the next General Election.

According to sources who claim to have attended the gathering, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua outlined what insiders describe as a ruthless political roadmap designed to cement his position as the undisputed kingpin of the mountain.

At the heart of the alleged plan is a determination to politically neutralize former President Uhuru Kenyatta and dismantle what remains of Jubilee’s influence in the region. Sources say Gachagua identified the upcoming Ol’Kalou by-election as a make-or-break battle that could either strengthen or destroy competing political forces in Mt Kenya.

The meeting reportedly heard that DCP aspirants have been ordered to contribute KSh 400,000 each, while county-level candidates are expected to raise KSh 1 million. Insiders claim the funds are intended to fuel an aggressive political expansion campaign.

Perhaps the most surprising revelation was Gachagua’s reported decision to stay away from the Ol’Kalou race for most of the campaign period. Sources say he intends to enter the battlefield only in the final days, a move seen by supporters as strategic and by critics as calculated political theatre.

The discussions allegedly went beyond Mt Kenya. Attendees were reportedly told that Kalonzo Musyoka and the Wiper Party must be given full support and respect as opposition leaders quietly build a united front against President William Ruto’s political machine.

Even more ambitious was the reported target of capturing influence in at least 65 constituencies nationwide, signaling that the battle is no longer regional but national in scope.

Sources further claim that Gachagua pushed for the recruitment of defectors from UDA, arguing that allowing them to join rival camps would be politically disastrous. The proposal reportedly sparked resistance from party aspirants fearful of being overshadowed by incoming heavyweights.

The meeting is also said to have featured sharp criticism of Fred Matiang’i, with Gachagua allegedly questioning whether the former Interior CS fully understands the realities of the political arena he is stepping into.

If the claims emerging from Wamunyoro are accurate, Kenya may be witnessing the opening chapter of a fierce struggle for control of Mt Kenya, one that could ultimately determine who holds the keys to State House in 2027.

The alleged strategy reveals a multi-pronged approach: consolidate regional dominance, build national alliances, weaken rival power centers, and position DCP as a formidable force capable of influencing the presidential race.

With Ol’Kalou now viewed as the first test of this ambitious blueprint, all eyes will be on whether Gachagua’s reported strategy can translate into electoral success and reshape Kenya’s political landscape.
