Just like the ODM Party had warned last week, the outfit’s leader Raila Odinga has intensified his political activities in the background. The latest move being a six-hour meeting on Tuesday, of his allies at a Nairobi hotel.

Those in attendance were Governors Amason Kingi, Charity Ngilu, Anyang Nyongo, and Kivutha Kibwana.

”They discussed their working arrangements, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to be worked on by a group of experts and lawyers who will be picked, and their roadmap. There will be many more meetings in the coming weeks and months before they solidify their political marriage,” a source told a local publication on Wednesday.

Other leaders present were Governor Mohamed Kuti (Isiolo) and Siaya Senator James Orengo.

Speaking to Citizen TV’s Waihiga Mwaura on Tuesday night, Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi, who has declared his interest to run for the top seat confirmed the meeting, telling Kenyans to expect an earth-shaking political formation.

”Yes we had a meeting today. Kenyans should expect a political formation that will shake the country.”

On Monday, Raila Odinga hosted Dr. Kituyi, Amason Kingi, and Wycliffe Oparanya at his Karen residence, in a meeting that lasted for more than three hours.

The meeting discussed the modalities of cobbling up an alliance, where the two will play a pivotal role.
