Yesterday one long bridge was crossed. The Budget bridge.
There are those who had sworn CS John Ng’ong’o Mbadi would not read the budget of the Republic of Kenya. I am talking about the tribalists.
The mistake the tribalists make is to entertain this delusion that the Broad Based government is “held together” by Luos and Raila Odinga and that it is us/we and him who must exit it so that it “collapses”.
Hapo ndio kamare imekuwa ngumu because Luos will not leave.
And we will not leave because when we got “inside” we realized everybody is in there: the Kikuyus are there (more than us even), the luhyas are there, the Kambas, Kisiis, Kurias, Merus, etc, are there; the Coast people are there, the Somali are there and of course, the Kalenjins.
Why is this demand about exit only being applied on the Luo?
When Moses Kuria was asked why he was not leaving government he said he cannot leave something that even Raila Odinga is inside. It means that thing is good.
So, those who delude themselves that the Luo will exit government so that it collapses — which collapse will again be blamed on Luos only — should think of something else.
