William Ruto has finally revealed why her daughter June married a Nigerian two months ago. Speaking to Radio Jambo on Tuesday morning, the Deputy President said there was a time he thought her daughter would settle with her Kenyan boyfriend, a ‘Mr. Ochieng’, but things went south between the two lovers.

”Ningefurahi sana kama msichana wangu angepata Mkenya.Lakini hio ilikua mpango wa Mungu an uamuzi wake. Kilikua an wakati nilisikia kuna jamaa alikua anaitwa Ochieng, nilikua nimemuona. Sijui kuliendaje. Tulimsomesha huku, akaenda USIU, akaenda Australia ndio akapata mtu Nigeria,” the DP told Gidi of Radio Jambo.

On May 27th, the Deputy President’s first-born daughter tied the knot with her Nigerian sweetheart Dr. Alexander Ezenagu at a lavish ceremony held at the DP’s official residence in Karen, Nairobi.

“It is both an exciting and anxious moment. It is not easy as a parent to give away your daughter. It is much more difficult if you are giving away your daughter to Nigerians,” the DP said in May.
