Kenyans were just beginning to forget the impeached Rigathi Gachagua’s pre-2024 scandals. Sh5.2 billion fortune amassed in two years, his brother’s estate seizure, as he toured the country peddling victimhood and sympathy tears after his October 2024 ouster.
Today, President William Ruto shattered that illusion with ruthless precision at a charged rally in Matayos, Busia County.
“You cannot mislead this nation. A character with no morals. A character who manipulated the will of his own brother. You, cold-blooded murderer. Mtu ambaye ametia watoto wadogo mimba wenye rika ya watoto wake. Alafu anawaua. You are a cold-blooded murderer and thief,” Ruto declared, accusing Gachagua of impregnating university girls, young enough to be his own daughters, and murdering them to silence the scandals.

In a blistering social media post, Miano alleged Gachagua fathered pregnancies with at least two young women, including 22-year-old Regina Wairimu, a fourth-year engineering student at Dedan Kimathi University in Nyeri, then orchestrated their killings after they refused abortions. A second victim from Murang’a and a rumored third from Migori have also surfaced in the allegations, with Miano insisting evidence exists.
Compounding the horror is the documented family betrayal: Gachagua allegedly coerced his cancer-stricken brother Nderitu on a London deathbed to name him will executor, then stripped widow Margaret Karungaru Nderitu and her children of prime assets, Olive Gardens Hotel, Vipingo Beach Resort, Queensgate Serviced Apartments, Lang’ata high-rises, while pocketing Sh20 million earmarked for their mother and Sh16 million for a nephew’s education. Ruto appointed the widow to government to rescue her from destitution.
This is the man who built a vast empire of hotels, resorts, and land while in office, only to cry persecution after impeachment. Ruto has done the nation a brutal service: no more crocodile tears, no more con. The blood on the record is undeniable.
