Former President Uhuru Kenyatta is asking Kenyans to maintain peace, shun tribalism, and love one another.
In a birthday message on Wednesday, the Head of State thanked Kenyans for maintaining peace after the elections and asked for forgiveness from those who may have been hurt by his words during the campaigns.
”I want to thank God for the peace that is prevailing in our country. I am also asking for forgiveness for those we may have spoken bad of, and the ones who spoke badly of others,” Uhuru said.
”Nawaomba Wakenya wenzangu, tusiongozwe na ukabila wala chuki na badala yake tuendelee kuishi pamoja kama mandugu.”
The former Head of State is currently in South Africa spearheading the Ethiopia-Tigray peace talks under the African Union.
