Long-time allies of Azimio leader Raila Odinga will be in charge of two critical dockets in the Nairobi county government, directly touching on Hustlers and Kenyans living in informal areas within the city.
Yesterday, Governor Sakaja announced the individuals he had nominated as members of his 10-member cabinet, among them Mr. Ibrahim Auma Nyangoya, the CEC for Boroughs Administration and Personnel, and Ms. Rosemary Kariuki, the CEC for Business and Hustlers Opportunities.
The Governor introduced the two dockets; Boroughs Administration and Personnel, as well as Business and Hustler Opportunities, whose CECs will report directly to Deputy Governor Muchiri.
Mr. Ibrahim Nyangoya is a longtime aide of Hon Raila Odinga, while Ms. Rosemary Kariuki has been the ODM Party’s Director of Membership.
The team nominated by Governor Sakaja also comprises Charles Kerich the CEC Finance and Economic Affairs, Michael Gumo who will head the Innovation and Digital Economy docket, Brian Mulama who will be in charge of Talent, Skills Development and Care, Patrick Mbogo who head Mobility and Works, Built Environment and Urban Planning CEC Stephen Gathuita Mwangi.
Others are Maureen Njeri for the Environment, Water, Food and Agriculture post, Dr. Anastasia Mutethya Nyalita who will be in charge of Health, Wellness and Nutrition, Suzanne Silantoi for the Inclusivity, Public Participation and Customer Service docket.
Dr. Jairus Musumba is the nominee for the position of County Secretary.
