There was drama in Machakos when former area Senator Johnstone Muthama attempted to physically confront Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka who seemed to have touched a raw nerve while giving his speech at Mitaboni Primary School.

Muthama, the UDA Party Chair, had fallen out with Kalonzo Msyoka in the Wiper Party and he is now a staunch ally of DP William Ruto.

There was a commotion when Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka arrived together with the party’s candidate, Agnes Kavindu, who is Muthama’s ex-wife when the former Machakos Senator was giving his speech.

When his time to speak came, Kalonzo Musyoka went for the low-blow, telling Muthama, he will return him his wife after the by-election has passed. These remarks did not go down well with Muthama who was sitting on the front row.

“I am telling you that next year, you will see Muthama running to lie on my chest, because he knows where we are and where we are going. Even if he gets irritated, I’ll hand over his wife back to him,” Kalonzo said.

It was these remarks that had former Senator Muthama shooting from his seat to rush towards the Wiper Leader before being restrained by MPs Patrick Makau (Mavoko) Victor Munyaka (Machakos Town), and Robert Mbui (Kathiani).
