Presidential hopeful candidate Kalonzo Muysoka very proudly announced his efforts to help convicted thief of public money Ferdinand Waititu get released now from jail hoping his appeal will free him despite robbing Kenyans of millions of public cash.
Are these the people Kalonzo is fighting to represent and speak for in Kenya in the increasingly unlikely event that he wins the presidency in 2027?
Despite being found guilty in this case which involves more than Sh. 530 million public money stolen between Waititu and his fellow thieves, Kalonzo is standing with his thieving friend.
As governor of Kiambu before, Waititu was impeached out of office for stealing public money in the billions. Is Kalonzo Muysoka okay with all that?
Maybe Ferdinand Waititu should be freed and run as Kalonzo Muysoka’s Deputy Presidential candidate in 2027. That would be a massive winning team for the Wiper man since the other impeached Kalonzo buddy Rigathi Gachagua is being stubborn and just holding the opposition politicians hostage until the day he decides what to do.
Just today Gachagua clarified that his party, come the 2027 polls, will command the most seats in the Mt Kenya region as it will be the one with the president, the majority of governors, the majority of MPs, the majority of women representatives, and the majority of MCAs.
“And as for Mt Kenya, we will field candidates for the presidency, governor, senator, MP, women representative, and MCA—are you ready?
This is the nightmare that Kalonzo Musyoka and other opposition leaders aligned to him have to deal with and that may explain why Kalonzo needs other options like Ferdinand Waititu.
In 2027 Kenyans may face something completely outrageous when the opposition completely fails to even come up with any credible presidential candidate to face President William Ruto.
From the way things are going right now the opposition may have four to five opposition candidates with Kalonzo having his squad, Rigathi Gachagua with his own Mt. Kenya opposition team, Martha Karua hanging in there and God knows who else will be there.
It maybe the fist time in more than forty years that Kenyans will realize that without Raila Odinga, Kenya has no opposition party that can take ruling governments in our country to task facing troubled times and move the politics of the country to another level for the nation and the people.
Raila has done that for fifty years and nine of those years he was in detention.
It will take former Justice David Maraga to save that situation and really offer stiff opposition to the Ruto regime and today Maraga announced that he is forming a consultative team to explore ways for him running for the presidency in 2027 and that is great news for Kenyans all across the country.
