The Ruto Regime Brutally murdered Albert Ojwang’ and Now Some People are Trying To Destroy The Gen Z Movement From Within

From the gruesome evidence after the murder of that young man Albert Ojwang’ it is obvious to Kenyans that this operation came right from the top.

Almost every senior police officer was involved starting with Inspector General Douglas Kanja Kirocho and going down to the now cornered Deputy Inspector General Eliud Lagat and to the police bosses at Central Police Station and other police officers down to their hangmen in police services including those who were sent to go grab Albert Ojwang’ from Kasipul in Homa Bay County.

Such a huge operation as Ojwang’s kidnapping and murder could not be carried without the president knowing what is going on and in fact giving instructions on the whole operation. And that explains why the the police boss Douglas Kanja lied about everything until things were exposed and later he pretends to apologize.

IG Kanja was protecting a lot of people including himself and his bosses. That should have been the focus of the protests against the murder of Albert Ojwang’. And should have ben how to throw Kanja and Lagat out of office and get them charged in court for the murder of Albert Ojwang’.

Instead of focusing on justice for Albert Ojwang’ and fighting for political rights of Kenyans who have to kick out the killers and their government Kenyans saw very strange things including the destruction of public facilities meant to help all Kenyans in Nairobi. What purpose does that serve other than alienate Gen Z genuine activists who want real change in Kenya?

This is not good for Kenya and it is terrible for the real activists who are fighting for a better Kenya than the murderous one we have today.

Other protestors stuck to the real agenda of the rallies in Nairobi on June 12, 2025 and with tremendous dignity and no fear at all they stood up for justice for Albert Ojwang’ and for their beloved country. Kenyans will honour them for that.

What purpose does thuggery like this against vehicles belonging to Kenyans just doing their business serve. This is not good for Kenya and it is terrible for the demonstrators and does not help Albert Ojwang’ to get justice because from what we have learnt Ojwang’ is not this kind of anarchist.

The one thing the activist ought to have to do right now is to go after IPOA led by Ahmed Issack Hassan which is presently pretending to lead the investigations to fight the killers and to seek justice for Albert Ojwang’. IPOA is going to find away to do two things. One is to ensure that the big shots involved in the murder of Albert Ojwang’ are not touched at all and IPOA will declare them free of any involvement. Then IPOA will reduce their targets to some minor police officers and even those will never be tried in court.

IPOA has never ever taken any police officers who have killed Kenyans to court to face justice and I mean not even one while IPOA has been pretending to carry investigations for the last few decades since it was established. That is why the activists fighting for justice here must demand a meeting with IPOA and ask them if they have ever convicted a single police officer for killing Kenyans.

In fact IPOA never gets to do any investigations and when I hear Kenyan human rights activists calling on IPOA to help get police killers convicted I just about throw up. That is not there job. IPOA was established to help cover up Kenya police crimes against activists and any Kenyan in our country.

Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) Commissioner Prof. Marion Mutugi.

The Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) is demanding a detailed report on the circumstances surrounding the death of influencer Albert Ojwang, who died while in police custody.

KNCHR Commissioner Marion Mutugi, appearing on a local station on Tuesday said the authorities involved should be investigated.

‘’We want a chronological event of what happened within the 36 hours that Ojwang was in the hands of the police; when he went to a police station in Homa Bay, who handled him, what was his state and how was he transported to Nairobi. We need to know,’’ she said.

Mutugi further alleged that Central Police Station has a history of mistreating detainees, labeling it a “scene of crime.”

That is why Kenyan human rights activists have to tell IPOA that they are not working on this by themselves without directly involving Kenya human rights organizations. We have Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) and we also have Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) and both of those organizations have been involved in the Ojwang’ murder case.

These are well known and respected human rights groups in Kenya and they have to participate directly in those meetings and in fact it will be their job to tell Kenyans what is going on in those meetings. If Ahmed Hassan refuses to let them in those meetings with police bosses then demonstrations should be organized to confront both IPOA and police big shots at those meetings because they will be fake investigations and Hassan will be taking instructions from the police bosses and will be ordered on what to do next. The idea here is for President Ruto to tell Kenyans that his top police officers have met IPOA which found them innocent and that part of the case is closed.

As the interim Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission (IIEC) in 2009 -2011 and later IEBC Chairman, Ahmed Issack Hassan is a well known government operative whose job was to rig elections including in 2010 for Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto. That is why he is the leader of IPOA today so as to rig investigations against police crimes in Kenya.

As it is, Kenya human rights groups and other Kenyan activists need to meet Ahmed Hassan leader of IPOA and make it clear to him that he is not meeting the police bosses and other suspects just by himself. Kenyans need the human rights organizations in the country to take a solid and visible stand to address the murder of Albert Ojwang’ and not behind the scene deals with IPOA and back to business as usual. The trick here is that Kenyans and the Ruto government will talk about the Albert Ojwang’ murder and investigations for a few weeks and they will forget about it and that chapter is closed.

The other disturbing thing is that the job GEN Z activists started on June 25, 2024 was to win the support of the Kenyan population and voters onto the side of justice and they did a great job of achieving that at the time. Now when you start to antagonize the general population you are losing everything you have achieved.

Kenya can see a big difference from the actions of the Gen Z activists in June 2024 to what happened on June 12, 2025 in Nairobi. For example the crazy activities like what happened in the CBD where Kenyans waiting for their matatu rides and boda bodas were just being chased away and the matatu drivers had to take off in fear and people had to walk to their homes taking hours. That kind of action by activists can kill your movement and that is a great gift to President William Ruto who was already scared.

Now these people antagonized for no reason are the Kenyan voters that were running away from Ruto and you cause chaos for them that means they are back and ready to vote for Ruto because you scare them and some maybe even thinking these kind of people could be worse than William Ruto. How does that help your the human rights objectives for the country?

The other troublesome thing Kenyans saw was that the opposition leaders Rigathi Gachagua and Kalonzo Musyoka who have been screaming everyday about justice for Albert Ojwang’ did not even have the basic guts to come to the rally on June 12, 2025 and speak directly to Kenyans including the demonstrators. They prefer to use the calamity that Ajwang’ faced in their rallies of cousins. I am not sure Albert Ajwang’ is one of their cousins so why would they care about a rally fighting for justice for that man.

If Kalonzo Musyoka wanted to even have little credence as someone who wants to be the president of Kenya it would be by attending action and protests fighting for justice for the murdered Albert Ojwang’ that could give him an ounce of credibility. Just go there and face the cops and tell Kenyans he is fighting for justice for all Kenyans. That could help get him get out of this cousins nightmare they have created for themselves. In stead Kalonzo was on twitter talking to himself and saying ooh I cannot join Kindiki because I ams fighting for Albert Ojwang’. Where is that fight?

I am not bothering to talk about Rigathi Gachagua here attending the rallies for Ajawang’ because Gachagua is an expert in murdering activists who oppose any government he is in. Gen Z is lucky Rigathi Gachagua is not with the Ruto government now because if he was he would not be wasting bullets and strangling Gen Z activities.

Gachagua would be throwing grenades at them the way he did in 2023 during the Saba Saba demonstrations. In any case Gachagua killed a lot of Kenyan activists in less than two years as Ruto’s DP.

'You are now 80 years, what are you fighting for?' Gachagua slams Raila over protests

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has now come out guns blazing to castigate Opposition leader Raila Odinga over Wednesday’s countrywide protests which led to the death of at least nine people.

The saddest thing is that Gachagua has killed more Kikuyus than any other leader starting with his job as the D.O of Molo where he slaughtered 5,000 Kikuyus because they did not vote for Moi in the first multi party elections in 1992. In fact it can be said that Rigathi Gachagua has killed more Kikuyus than any other leader in Kenya except the colonial government during the Mau Mau fight for independence and now he is mouthing off about justice for activists. Stuff that somewhere else and you know where that is.

In the days of people like Martin Shikuku, George Anyona and others fighting to remove dictator Moi from power knew that when university students and others organized big rallies at Kamukunji grounds with police everywhere those political leaders would be there knowing they will not tell the activists what to do but they were part of the uprising and they would help move the rallies all the way to Uhuru Gardens with tens of thousands of people. That is what shook the Moi dictatorship to the ground and he had to yield to have multi-party in Kenya.

The nation cannot achieve those kinds of major changes in governance through Twitter X and opposition leaders speaking to themselves and to their village folks. The people of Kenya need concrete action by opposition leaders on the ground across the country.

Of course leaders like Martin Shikuku , George Anyona and others paid dearly for actively supporting rallies striving to overthrow the Moi dictatorship but they had the courage and patriotism to concretely support students and others facing police harassment in the rallies in Nairobi. Today the opposition leaders are on twitter 24/7 to glorify their own ku ramba ramba in their own territories.

One funny thing with Martin Shikuku is that he made his own coffin and dug his own grave and had lots of ng’ombes ready for those who will attend his funeral after he dies when he saw things getting heavy and hot in the country fighting to end the Moi dictatorship. He had no fear at all.
