The Desperation of the Dying Opposition in Kenya is Almost Pitiful at this Time, One Year to the 2027 Elections

Gachagua threatens to ask Kenyans to stop paying taxes if goonism continues

Rigathi Gachagua has now come with the most brilliant plan ever for the United Opposition in Kenya which is to stop Kenyans from paying taxes which means to stop everything by closing the schools, the hospitals and all public facilities funded by the taxes Kenyans pay.

Gachagua will then order Kenyans to wait for him as people starve and get desperate and that will get him and his opposition team elected in 2027.

Gachagua who is the man who invented goonism in protests in Kenya is now about to fight that by crumbling the whole country to the ground and confining Kenyans to sit down with nothing and no hope until he becomes the president of Kenya. How pathetic is that.

In 2024 when the Gen Z launched their protests to stop the Finance Bill 2024 there were no goons in the rallies and the young Kenyans won their war when President Ruto was forced to withdraw the Finance Bill 2024 and the demonstrators paid a heavy price for that as many were killed or injured by police brutality against them.

Those young Kenyans saved Kenya by their commitment to their country and they just came out many of them very young people fighting for their future and their country. There were no looters and the so called goonism in their rallies.

In 2025 when Gachagua jumped on the Gen Z demonstrations for his own political interests he introduced goons which started as infiltrators in the Gen Z rallies and their plan was to burn buildings, cars and any property as they looted everything.

Soon the Gachagua mob launched attacks on police stations burning down everything and stealing guns.

The worst attack on police stations was Ol Kalou Divisional Police headquarters last year in 2025.

The confrontation between law enforcement and protesters marking the first annivesary of June 25 protest in the capital of Nyandarua County saw thirty-five vehicles and eleve motircycles torched.

Protesters also set ablaze several offices in a compound housing the offices of an Assistat County Commissioner.

The protests, led largely by Gen Z activists, had begun as peaceful candlelit processions in various towns across the country to mark one year since the June 25, 2024 demonstrations that left scores dead during anti-Finance Bill protests.

The Ol-Kalou protests however escalated after one of the demonstrators was shot dead by police.

The killing triggered widespread anger, with protesters turning on government infrastructure.

They torched the Ol-Kalou Police Station and government vehicles parked within the Nyandarua Assistant County Commissioner’s compound. Twenty-six vehicles belonging to the Nyandarua County Government and nine from the national government were reduced to shells.

Eleven motorbikes owned by the county and seven by the national government were also set ablaze.

Protesters continued their rampage, targeting additional government properties including the Registrar of Persons office, a public library, and the Nyandarua County Security Enforcement office.

Now the political goon who invented this nightmare for Kenyans which is killing all public protests as people are scared, wants to make fighting what he created as his greatest political gift to Kenyans.

In the media today, Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has said he could call on Kenyans to stop paying taxes if what he described as “goonism, violence and persecution” under President William Ruto’s administration continues.

He made the remarks on Saturday, 27 June 2026, during a meeting with grassroots leaders from Laikipia County at his Wamunyoro residence in Nyeri County.

Gachagua linked his warning to rising political tensions and new National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) inspection rules, which he claimed could be used to raise money unfairly from motorists.

Under the new NTSA directive, all private vehicles older than four years will undergo annual inspection starting July 1, 2026. The government says the programme will improve road safety and reduce accidents caused by faulty vehicles.

Gachagua, however, questioned the timing and cost of the exercise. He said it would place an extra burden on citizens already facing high living costs.

He also urged motorists to resist compliance with the inspection process.

“Mtu yeyote asikubali kupeleka gari yake inspection na kutoa pesa kwa William Ruto,” he said.

Na mimi niseme pia, tukiendelea mbele, William Ruto akiendelea kuangaisha sisi na vita, akiendelea kuleta fujo … mimi nitauliza Wakenya, tuseme tusimamishe kulipa kodi mpaka akuwe na adabu,” he said.

Rigathi Gachagua has basically killed mass protests in Kenya when he turned them into violent escapades hoping that could somehow overthrow the government of President William Ruto.

That never worked but the bigger issue for Kenyans is that without mass rallies and demonstrations Kenya would have never stopped the one-party dictatorship and Gideon Moi would be our president today for life after taking over from his father.

Without mass rallies led by Raila Odinga and other Kenyans there would no 2010 Constitution which changed our country big time and which all the politicians talk about.

When people like Gachagua have injected goonism into mass rallies and are now killing that great asset in Kenya politics, they are dismantling the country but politicians like the opposition leaders with him would care less for that and none of them even have the guts to ask Gachagua what he is doing and talking about.

In the meantime, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro is being attacked from all sides in the opposition because he is not leaning on any of those who call themselves opposition leaders and they picked a minor issue of him not voting for the Finance Bill 2026 as if his one vote would change the results.

Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro has broken his silence over growing claims that he is acting as a political double agent and secretly working as President William Ruto’s mole, insisting that his recent political silence has been misinterpreted and was never meant to serve personal political interests.

Speaking during a press briefing on Saturday, June 27, 2026, after facing intense online criticism over his recent absence from major political matters, the Kiharu MP admitted that the last week had been politically difficult but said the pressure had pushed him to reflect on his next steps.

“I want to start by saying, as you all know, it has been a very bitter pill for me to swallow for the last one week, but most of the bitter pills, many times, also give us reprieve, and they make us learn and become better,” Nyoro said.

The likes of Pauline Njoroge one of the supposedly big leaders in Jubilee was also on Ndindi Nyoro’s case.

According to Pauline, Nyoro instead left supporters disappointed after asking Kenyans for more time instead of making a firm political declaration.

“When my dear brother Ndindi Nyoro announced yesterday that he would be holding a media briefing today, many Kenyans believed he would use the opportunity to do two thing. First, declare that he is WANTAM. Second, announce which side of the opposition formations, Linda Mwananchi or the United Alternative Government, he would be joining,” Pauline said.

It seems the biggest sin being committed by Ndindi Nyoro is that he has not joined the WANTAM Singing Choir as if that would help the crumbling United Opposition or Alternative Government in Heaven as they call themselves.

The Good Lords are not happy with that and he has to repent soon or else.
