According to Jubilee Party Director of Elections Kanini Kega, the Mt Kenya tours by President Uhuru will be the beginning of his national campaign to various parts of the country, drumming up support for Raila Odinga and Azimio Coalition.

”His countrywide campaigns will start with the mountain. We do not just want him to campaign. The President will also commission projects. President Kenyatta will also show us which direction to take. It is obvious Mt Kenya is with Karua. She is the person we will oscillate around when the boss leaves office,” the Kieni MP told the Nation.

Othaya Hospital, Chaka market, Naromoru Hospital, Nyambene milk plant, and the expanded Kenol-Marua road are some of the projects expected to be commissioned by the Head of State.
