President William Ruto and Azimio leader Raila Odinga are in talks on how to unite the country and have issues involving Kenyans solved with one voice.
According to sources who have confided to this publication, the talks between President William Ruto and Mr. Odinga have been initiated by Western Powers who have been acting as intermediaries between the two camps.
On Wednesday night, the Azimio leader held a meeting with his troops from Nyanza counties and rallied them to welcome Ruto on Friday.
In the meeting with politicians from Luo Nyanza in Nairobi, Raila advised them to embrace the Head of State during his visit for the sake of development.
It is also believed Ruto spoke to Raila spoke on Thursday night before the ODM leader left for South Africa, today Friday.
President Ruto is currently on a two-day tour of Luo Nyanza.
Raila is scheduled to hold a series of meetings in his capacity as the AU High Representative for Infrastructure Development in Africa.
“Odinga will meet the Chief Executive Officer of the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) Nardos Bekele-Thomas. The meeting will review the progress of the Program for Infrastructure Development in Africa Priority Action Plan 2 (PIDA-PAP2),” a statement from Raila’s spokesman Dennis Onyango reads.
